Kluane International Drilling Inc.
|The Company's 50% subsidiary has ordered an additional diamond drill to service its clients in the Andean chain in South America. This model is an updated version of Kluane's current high altitude model. The new unit uses 3 small high performance turbo charged diesel engines capable of providing over 70 horsepower at over 4,800 meters (approximately 16,000 feet). With recent modifications, this unit can drill to depths of approximately 450 meters (1,500 feet) using BTW, and 300 meters (1,000 feet) using NTW. The largest single piece, by weight, in this new unit is 300 lbs. making it easily transported on local trails.|
Kluane is a diamond core drilling company specializing in working in difficult to access or environmentally sensitive areas. Its units are hydraulically driven, fully modular wireline diamond drills. They can be flown anywhere in the world in the holds of conventional commercial aircraft then moved locally; manually, by ATV, by pick up or even a fixed wing aircraft as small as a Cessna 185. Kluane drills are highly competitive especially in conducting initial programs and do not require the development of expensive access.
