San Antonio I Concession
|The Company has been advised by Atna Resources Ltd. that Atna is terminating its option to earn a 60% interest in the San Antonio I concession in the Dominican Republic. Atna has indicated that at this point in time, the property and the terms of the Agreement do not align with its corporate objectives.|
Exploration results from geochemical and geophysical surveys and approximately 4,620 meters of drilling in 26 holes has shown the presence of sulphide mineralization, including 3.4 meters of 5.88%Cu, 3.52%Zn, 85.7 gms/T Ag and 2.27gms/T Au, along a well defined VMS horizon. A soil geochemical anomaly accompanied by anomalous IP results defines the surface trace of the VMS horizon which extends almost six kilometers. Only a portion has been tested to date by drilling. Atna is completing a final report on its exploration activities, including recommendations for further work.
Atna was obliged to spend a further US$2.0 million and make option payments of an additional US$200,000 over the next two years to earn an interest.
