Kluane International Drilling Announces Significant Drill Contracts
|Energold Mining Ltd. (EGD:TSX.V) is pleased to announce that its 50% owned drilling division, Kluane International Drilling, has been awarded three significant drilling contracts. The contracts provide for a minimum of approximately 32,000 metres of diamond drilling and a maximum in excess of 50,000 metres. One of the programs has already commenced and the other two are expected to begin in January 2004. For the nine months ending September 30, 2003, Kluane drilled approximately 37,000 m.|
The drilling programs will all involve manually portable, low-environmental impact drills. Kluane's environmentally and socially sensitive approach to drilling complements the exploration philosophy of modern mining companies. These new contracts combined with the growing demand for Kluane's services has led to three additional drills being ordered that would increase the total size of the drill fleet to fourteen rigs.
Vancouver-based Energold Mining Ltd. is a profitable exploration company focusing on precious and base metals targets within the Dominican Republic and South America. Energold owns 50% of Kluane International Drilling Inc., a profitable contract diamond drilling company and 46.7% of IMPACT Minerals International Inc. (IPT: TSX.V), a gold exploration company with properties in the Dominican Republic.
